What if The Avengers came out in 1978?
Then they would be fighting KISS obviously. Hey, they were part of the Marvel Comics roster! I can also appreciate how they used Exo-Man as a stand-in for Iron Man. And Loki, as Paul Lynde from Hollywood Squares! Yeah, this is priceless.

What if Lars von Trier directed a Donald Duck movie?
As a completely depraved thought experiment, the Icelandic comedy troupe Mid-Island forced Disney’s cantankerous, pants-less mallard to conform to the gritty, hyper-spartan “Dogme 95” style pioneered by Danish directors like Lars von Trier.
Although Mid-Island doesn’t stick to the no-frills Dogme 95 rulebook entirely, disturbing scenes of Gladstone Gander and Daisy Duck getting frisky and Donald blowing rails make up for it. Somewhere, Carl Barks’ grave is spontaneously combusting.

Saturday Night Live presents the only logical explanation for the gratuitous nudity in Game of Thrones: the show’s main consultants are George R.R. Martin and a 13-year-old boy.

Yoda doesn’t sound nearly as wise with proper syntax
Yoda’s peculiar syntax has become the universal symbol for wise advice, but would the long-eared Jedi sound nearly as profound if you switched around his word order? One Yoda fan (who, appropriately, calls himself “YodaFan”) took it upon him or herself to recut Yoda’s dialogue with more conventional syntax.

Tea time, by ~TaijaVigilia
This was another of the random requests I did on Tumblr. The brief was to portray Disney princesses enjoying a little tea party but they all had to be portrayed the same age as their respective movies (for example Snow White would be 75 years old, Aurora 53, Belle 21, Rapunzel 2 etc).
So it all went maybe a little Downton Abbey but I really liked doing this.

It wasn’t long before we found ourselves back at my apartment, where, in an attempt to display a modicum of bonhomie, I seated myself at the unspeakably expensive piano and essayed a few bars of “Hip to be Square.” Owen was singularly unappreciative of this, which reminded me that the man that hath no music in his soul is, as the poet rightly remarked, fit for any number of treasons, stratagems and spoils that I didn’t at all care for. As I considered his lack of response, I’m afraid to say I felt the old crushing ennui descend, and, before I quite knew what I was about, I’d swung a hatchet at him. When no rejoinder from him was forthcoming, I did so again, until his neck cracked like that of an especially recalcitrant fox, and, not to put too fine a point on it, before time’s winged chariot had covered much more ground I found I’d managed to murder the fellow in what you might, were you of a judicial persuasion, describe as cold blood.
Now, we Batemans are perfectly accustomed to taking the rough in life with the smooth, but even so, this seemed like a serious misstep. I supposed I stood in no small danger of arrest and imprisonment, not to mention finally having my allowance cut off.

Pop-culture painter James Hance returns with another Star Wars mashup featuring Han and Leia. This time, he’s portrayed the galactic power couple in the sentimental style of Norman Rockwell, copying the poses from Rockwell’s iconic “Boy and Girl Gazing at the Moon.”
Hance has replaced Rockwell’s bright-orange harvest moon with the twin suns of Tatooine, and swapped out the family dog for his adorable Chewbacca teddy-wookiee, “Wookiee the Chew.”
“Little Rebels” prints are available at Hance’s site.
